This policy explains how Lona Technical Education handles information when you use this website, create a student account, request a project, or choose to enable notifications. If you have questions or want to request an update or deletion, contact us using the WhatsApp link at the end of this policy.
Information we collect
- Student accounts: name, email address, phone number when provided, authentication details handled by Firebase Authentication, and account role/status.
- Project requests: name, WhatsApp number, email when provided, country, project type, requirements, domain preference, budget, timeline, referral code, and project/payment status.
- Payment proof: if you choose to submit a transfer screenshot, the uploaded file link is stored with the project request for review. Do not upload card numbers, passwords, or other credentials.
- Student requests and activity: application-support requests, their status, and limited account activity such as sign-in or request submission.
- Notifications: if you opt in, the browser's Firebase Cloud Messaging token is stored by the notification service so it can deliver updates. Client project-alert enrollment is checked against the status-only record for the submitted Order ID.
- Browser storage: session storage remembers whether an optional site notice has already appeared during the current browser session.
- Basic technical data: the hosting, authentication, upload, and notification providers may process connection, device, or security information needed to operate their services. The push service uses a one-way hash of the connecting IP address for rate limiting, with counters that expire within two hours.
How we use information
- Create and manage student accounts and provide requested learning services.
- Respond to project enquiries, prepare estimates, track progress, and review optional payment evidence.
- Review student service requests and send relevant account, project, or published-resource updates when you have opted in.
- Protect the site, prevent misuse, and maintain the reliability of its services.
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share only what is needed with service providers that operate the site, or when disclosure is required to address safety, legal, or security issues.
Public project tracking
Project status can be checked using an Order ID. The public tracker record contains only the Order ID, project type, current status, payment-proof status, and submission date. It does not contain your name, phone number, email, budget, requirements, or uploaded proof. Keep your Order ID private if you do not want others to view that limited status information.
Service providers
The website uses Firebase Authentication and Firestore for accounts and site records, Cloudinary for files you choose to upload, and EmailJS for order email notices if that feature is configured. Optional background notifications use Firebase Cloud Messaging and a Cloudflare Worker/KV service; if enabled, the Worker stores notification tokens for up to 60 days and rate-limit counters for up to two hours. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. This site does not process card payments through a payment gateway.
Storage and security
Information is retained for as long as it is needed to respond to a request, operate the related account or project, maintain appropriate records, and meet applicable requirements. Push tokens are held by the notification service for a limited period and can be removed when they expire or are no longer valid. Access to account and project records is controlled through Firebase Authentication and Firestore rules. No website or online transfer can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices
- You can choose whether to provide optional project details or payment proof.
- You can deny browser notification permission or turn notifications off in your browser/device settings.
- You may request access, correction, or deletion of information associated with your account or project, subject to records we must retain.
- If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian to review this policy and contact us with questions.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page when the website or its data practices change. The date at the top identifies the latest revision.
